Day 1 – Dhaka Aerials | Sadarghat & Urban Density

The journey begins in Dhaka, where the vibrant life of Sadarghat and the Buriganga River offer some of Bangladesh’s most iconic aerial perspectives. From above, hundreds of traditional wooden boats create a mesmerizing mosaic of movement, color, and texture. As the day progresses, the focus shifts to Old Dhaka’s dense urban landscape, revealing an intricate network of rooftops, narrow alleys, and layered architecture glowing under the warm tones of golden hour. This first day provides an unforgettable introduction to the visual complexity and energy of Bangladesh’s capital city.

Day 2 – Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar | Dry Fish Villages & Marine Drive

A morning flight takes the expedition to Cox’s Bazar, home to some of the country’s most fascinating coastal landscapes. The day begins at the famous dry fish processing villages, where thousands of fish are carefully arranged under the sun, forming remarkable geometric patterns visible only from above. In the afternoon, the journey continues along the scenic Marine Drive, where rolling green hills meet the endless blue waters of the Bay of Bengal. The combination of fishing culture, coastline, and dramatic natural scenery offers exceptional aerial storytelling opportunities.

Day 3 – Fishing Life, Sampan Boats & Salt Fields

Before sunrise, the expedition heads to the fishing coast to document local fishermen returning from the sea after a night’s work. The traditional Sampan boats, iconic symbols of Cox’s Bazar, create striking compositions against the coastal landscape. Later, attention turns to the vast salt production fields, where carefully designed evaporation pools form minimalist patterns and abstract geometries. Throughout the day, the interaction between people, nature, and industry creates a diverse collection of powerful aerial images.

Day 4 – Return to Dhaka | Narayanganj Fabric Landscapes

After returning to Dhaka by air, the journey continues to Narayanganj, one of Bangladesh’s major textile hubs. Here, colorful fabrics stretched across large drying grounds transform the landscape into a canvas of vibrant patterns and symmetry. Observing the process of washing, dyeing, and drying textiles offers unique insight into local industry while providing extraordinary photographic opportunities. From above, these textile fields become stunning works of abstract art.

Day 5 – Dhaka to Bogura | Chili Fields & Rural Geometry

Travelling by private air-conditioned vehicle to Bogura, the expedition moves into the heart of Bangladesh’s agricultural landscape. The region’s famous red chili drying yards create bold visual compositions filled with color and texture. Beyond the chili fields, aerial exploration of rural villages, ponds, crop fields, and farmland reveals the geometric beauty of the countryside. This day showcases the harmony between agriculture, community, and landscape from a unique aerial perspective.

Day 6 – Sariakandi River Region & Fishing Life

The day begins before dawn with a journey to Sariakandi along the mighty Jamuna River. From the air, the river’s winding channels, fishing boats, nets, and remote river settlements create cinematic and ever-changing compositions. A reserved boat allows deeper access into the river system, offering opportunities to document the daily lives of fishermen and the evolving river landscape. The dramatic interplay of water, land, and human activity makes this one of the expedition’s most visually compelling experiences before returning to Dhaka in the evening.

Day 7 – Brahmanbaria Rice Mills & Drying Yards

The final day takes the expedition to Brahmanbaria, renowned for its traditional rice-processing yards, locally known as Chatal. Here, vast expanses of drying rice form beautiful organic textures and rhythmic patterns visible from above. Workers moving through clouds of grain dust, smoke rising from processing facilities, and the repetitive geometry of agricultural labor create powerful storytelling images. This concluding destination offers a fitting finale, capturing the relationship between industry, tradition, and daily life in rural Bangladesh.

Throughout the seven-day expedition, participants will experience an extraordinary visual journey across Bangladesh, documenting rivers, cities, coastlines, industries, agriculture, and communities through the unique perspective of aerial photography. Each destination has been carefully selected to showcase the country’s remarkable diversity, creating a portfolio rich in color, texture, culture, and storytelling.
