- Overview
7-Day Rakher Upobash Photography Tour – Bangladesh is a deeply immersive cultural and documentary photography journey focused on one of South Asia’s most visually powerful Hindu rituals — Rakher Upobash (Kartik Brata). This tour blends spiritual low-light festival photography with intense human stories from rivers, markets, brick kilns, shipyards, dyeing fields, and factories around Dhaka and Narayanganj. Participants will photograph meditative devotees illuminated by thousands of oil lamps, raw industrial labor, vibrant textile landscapes, and everyday life along the Buriganga River.
Designed for serious photographers, this experience offers rare access, rich storytelling opportunities, and guided shooting in some of Bangladesh’s most iconic and emotional locations.
